ShiftLeft is the first cloud security solution specific to each version of each application, without focusing on threats. Founded by Manish Gupta, Chetan Conikee, and Vlad A Ionescu.
He was previously the Chief Product and Strategy Officer at FireEye, helping grow the company from approximately $70 million to more than $700 million in revenue, growing the product portfolio from 2 to more than 20 products. Prior, he was VP of Product Management for Cisco’s $2 billion security portfolio. He also served as a VP/GM at McAfee and iPolicy networks.
Manish has an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management, MS in Engineering from the University of Maryland and a BS in Engineering from the Delhi College of Engineering.
Chetan is a serial entrepreneur with over 20+ years of experience in authoring and architecting mission critical software. His expertise includes building web-scale distributed infrastructure, personalization algorithms, complex event processing, fraud detection, and prevention in investment/retail banking domains. He was most recently Chief Data Officer and GM Operations at CloudPhysics. Prior to CloudPhysics he was part of early founding teams at CashEdge (acquired FiServ), Business Signatures (acquired Entrust) and EndForce (acquired Sophos).
Chetan earned his M.S. in Computer Engineering from Iowa State University and B.S in Computer Science and Engineering from Bangalore University.
Vlad is a technologist specializing in infrastructure and systems engineering. Most recently, Vlad built Lever OS, the industry's first open-source AWS Lambda equivalent, which can be used to get similar benefits in a private or hybrid cloud environment.
Vlad is an AngelPad alumnus and he holds a BEng in Computing from Imperial College London.
Fabian is the Chief Scientist of ShiftLeft Inc. Fabian has over 10 years of experience in the security domain, where he has worked as a security consultant and researcher, focusing on manual and automated vulnerability discovery. Throughout his work, he has identified previously unknown vulnerabilities in popular system components and applications such as the Microsoft Windows kernel, the Linux kernel, the Squid proxy server, and the VLC media player. He has presented his findings and techniques at both major industry conferences such as BlackHat USA, DefCon, First, and CCC, and renowned academic security conferences such as ACSAC, Security and Privacy, and CCS. He holds a master’s degree in computer engineering from Technical University Berlin, as well as a PhD in computer science from the University of Goettingen.
Etan is a passionate product design leader who specializes in data visualization and enterprise software. With a hybrid background in software development and design, he especially enjoys bridging code with design when solving customer needs by building state of the art product experiences.
Etan was previously Head of Product Design at New Relic where he had the opportunity to build and manage a team of talented designers, define design vision, and work closely with other executives in helping shape company strategy.
While not working on tech, Etan frequents the surf line-up on the shores of San Francisco.
Priya leads product management at ShiftLeft. Previously, she was part of the founding team at Apcera and contributed to product management and marketing through a successful acquisition by Ericsson. Prior to taking on leadership roles in startups, she also worked at VMware and Sun Microsystems.
Priya has a background in Electrical Engineering and holds an MS from Stanford University.
Matt is focused on systems building, operations, and infrastructure. He is a veteran of Adobe Systems where he most recently helped architect, build, and subsequently manage teams responsible for parts of the Adobe Creative Cloud on Amazon Web Services. He also built Sparta, an opinionated Go framework for AWS Lambda-powered microservices.
In his free time, Matt enjoys quietly fuming about configuration data and hiking in the North Cascades.
